Welcome to SteedSavvy.com, your source for expert information on horses and horse care. My name is Scott Dale, and I created this site to share my decades of experience with these magnificent animals.

I have been around horses my entire life. I grew up on a horse farm in the countryside of Somerset, England where my family bred and trained horses. From a young age, I learned how to care for horses, from daily grooming and feeding to medical care and training. After finishing school, I studied equine science at Hartpury University in Gloucestershire.

After university, I worked as a horse trainer at several top yards around the UK. During this time, I worked with hundreds of horses and riders, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. I had the opportunity to work with horses and riders competing at the highest levels of dressage, show jumping, and eventing.

In 2012, I decided to settle down and start my own yard. I now live in Wiltshire where I run a small breeding and training operation. I work with just a handful of client horses and riders, focusing on developing young prospects and tuning up competitors.

Throughout my career, I have amassed a deep wealth of knowledge about all things horses. My goal with SteedSavvy.com is to share this knowledge with horse lovers looking to improve their horsemanship skills. You’ll find a range of informative articles covering horse care, health, training, and more.

I invite you to explore the site and reach out with any questions you may have. Happy riding!
